Histon Hobblers celebrate 20 years

Histon Hobblers celebrated 20 years of running and friendship this summer in our gardens with fizz, fun and laughter. The Hobblers started in 2002 and were created as a get-up-and-go group, focusing on ‘let’s get off the couch and learn to run 5Km’ for Cancer Research’s Race for Life. This small initiative turned into an amazing success and remains an inspirational local running group today, with many of the same runners still involved and running regularly. The group kindly welcomed me with open arms when we moved here 4 years ago and I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and for getting me running again (even if I do complain at every step and don’t run as often as I should! ). Here’s to the next 20 years …..
